본 논문은 군 장병들이 학교폭력 경험을 통해 학습된 폭력에 대한 태도가 군내폭력에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 검증함으로써 군내폭력 근절을 위한 정책적 제언을 하는데 그 중점을 두고 있다. 본 연구에서 실증분석을 통해 얻은 세부결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 군 장병들의 폭력에 대한 태도는 군내폭력에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 폭력 행사에 대한 부정적 인식이 높을수록 군내폭력 근절에 정적인 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 군 장병들의 입대 전 학교폭력 경험은 폭력에 대한 태도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학교폭력으로 학습된 폭력에 대한 태도는 군내폭력에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 입대 전 학교폭력에 대한 피해·가해 경험이 높을수록 폭력에 대한 학습효과가 높아져 입대 이후에도 폭력에 대해 허용적인 태도를 가지게 되는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 기초로 군내폭력 근절을 위해 군 장병들의 폭력성에 대한 사전 식별 및 관리대책 강화, 군내폭력에 적지 않은 영향을 미치고 있는 학교폭력을 예방하기 위해 교내 폭력에 대한 인식 전환과 관련 교육을 보다 강화하는 등의 정책적 제언을 하였다. 본 논문이 군내폭력 근절을 위한 추가적인 연구와 정책개발에 유용한 자료로 활용되길 기대한다. |

This research is to have experimental proof of the impacts of violence that soldiers experienced during their school lives on violence in the military, and to provide policy advice to eradicate violence in the military. The details of the result is as follows. First of all, it turns out that soldiers’ attitude towards violence is closely associated with military violence. That is, a more negative attitude towards violence leads to a more positive effects on the violence eradication campaign. Secondly, the experience of violence in school before joining the military has impacts on soldiers’ attitudes towards violence. Finally, the attitude towards violence acquired in school has meaningful impacts on military violence, which means that if soldiers have experience of bullying others or being bullied in school, they are likely to view violence in the military as acceptable. Based on the result, several policies to prevent school bullies which will impact military violence are suggested such as the conversion of awareness on bullies and the enhancement of violence prevention education. The result of this research is expected to be used for further research and policy development. |
